Serie A rookie club 2024/25 Como have officially appointed Cesc Fabregas as head coach after the former Spanish midfielder helped them gain promotion to the top flight of Italy as an interim coach.
Serie A club Como have officially announced that Cesc Fabregas has signed a four-year contract as their new coach.
Fabregas had a successful campaign last season when he took on the role of interim coach to help Como return to Serie A.
At that time, because he did not have a professional coaching license, Cesc had to register as an assistant at Como. According to Gazetta, Fabregas has performed well as head coach despite being an assistant.
This appointment is considered a continuation of the success and an opportunity for Fabregas to assert his talent in his new role.
As for Como, they are expected to cause a surprise in Serie A next season. The team owned by an Indonesian owner is ambitious to reach new heights.
The club will be more active in recruiting quality new players in the remaining time of the 2024 summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Como club managed by Cesc Fabregas has received the green light from famous center-back Raphael Varane.
Varane’s agent will now review the terms of the deal before the player undergoes a medical and signs an official contract. Fabregas is said to have played a key role in convincing Varane to make the move.
The 2018 World Cup winner is currently a free agent after his contract with Man United expired at the end of the 2023/24 season.
